Winning Strategy at Bingo

Joseph E Granville was considered a stock market guru in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He had great influence with many big market players the moved when he told them to buy or sell. His suggestions were solid and also had a tendency to move a market in the short term. He used mathematics to make his predictions and suggestions of when to buy or sell. This is background to give his suggestions about bingo strategy creditability The point of giving his ideas thoughtful consideration on bingo strategy is that he is a serious mathematician and has proven his ability to analyze complex mathematical situations.

His analysis of bingo is a very interesting exercise in looking at a static situation involving the odds on which 75 balls are likely to be called after they are blown into place by the shuffling machine. The first step of looking at which number groups are going to be called in the first ten balls is very logical, but not a sure thing. His analysis is about statistical probability and not a method to win for sure. The ideas are all about picking game cards that have the best balance of numbers that are likely to show in any game. Since the game balls are supposed to be randomly drawn by the game caller, the stats that Granville makes about the numbers between one and 75 are mathematically correct. Aberrations can occur, but over a large number of games his theories are born out statistically.

His first theory of play is that the first numbers will have a tendency to end in a different number for at least in the first ten balls. Looking at 1000s of games discovered this idea. He also suggested that the odd and even numbers would even out as they are called. His final suggestion is that the low numbers will equal the high numbers as the numbers are called. Picking cards that meet these basic rules increases the odds in picking winning cards. A fact that Granville discovered in his exhaustive research of bingo is that most games are completed after only 10 to 12 numbers have been called. 60% of those 10 to 12 numbers have a different last digit.

Since a player cannot select cards online to play, the player cannot choose cards that have a statistical advantage. What they can do is play fewer cards per game and not play a number of cards in the belief that this gives them a better chance at winning. Granville's other discovery about bingo is that the numbers that are called try to average out around the number 38. Very few players are aware of this fact. However you cannot take advantage of this online when you get your game cards.

All of this theory about bingo has been around since Granville first wrote a book about playing bingo in the 1970s. His analysis of the game cards is brilliant for players that are playing in a live bingo hall. The problem is you cannot put many of the ideas into practice since the online bingo hall and not the player pick the cards. The serious player can only hope that the cards that they get at random meet randomness that is talked about in these ideas. It would be an interesting test to take five game cards that you receive and see if the bingo investigations by Granville hold up in real life at a bingo hall you choose to play at.

The random number theory that is advanced in these ideas is mathematically sound and is excellent ways to pick cards if you could do so online. Since this is impossible, it may be that you buy five cards, look them over and buy five more if the first group does not meet these standards as set out by Granville. If the cards were only a quarter a piece this would not be a huge wager if the prize were high enough. In one of the $1000 games or a higher prize, a player could invest even more if the first cards are not the random type that are recommended in this article. Before doing this you might check out the ideas for yourself at a much lower level of card prices. Since I have not done this for myself I cannot access what the results would be on any online bingo site. Testing it on your bingo site is the only way you would feel confident to try it for any significant money. The results could be very interesting and Granville has had many ideas in the past that were well worth the effort to learn them. There are few people who will go to the trouble to find out for themselves.
