How to Deposit Funds at an Online Bingo Site – ePassporte

This is yet another third-party payment processor that is accepted as a funding and withdrawal source from quite a few online bingo sites.  As with other processors, this gives you the added security of not having to share your credit or debit card details with an unfamiliar online bingo website.  It is quite similar in registration and operation to previously reviewed funding sources but there are several differences that make ePassporte more unique.

One nice feature of ePassporte is that you can sign up for a virtual Visa account through their service.  This will enable you to use your ePassporte funds even on a website that doesn’t specifically take ePassporte payments.  This is handy if the online bingo site takes only credit cards because you can make your deposit using the Visa number, just like using any other credit card.

The fees associated with your ePassporte account are rather high compared to most other third-party payment processors, however.  Funding your account can only be done with Visa credit or debit cards or a US bank account.  The fee for funding with Visa is $5 per $100 transferred and for checking is $3 flat fee per transfer.  To withdraw your funds, ePassporte will charge you a flat fee of $3 per transfer to your US checking account or you can do a wire transfer for a whopping $50 charge.  There isn’t any way to withdraw funds to your credit or debit card.

One feature that can be helpful to account holders, as well as saving on fees, is the ability to purchase a Visa Electron Card which is a physical card they send to you in the mail.  The fee to receive the card is $35 but you can then use this card at any Visa/Plus ATM and the fee is only $2 per transaction.  You will continue to pay a $35 annual fee for this card, though, so you would have to weigh out whether this feature would be worth the money for you.

Unfortunately, ePassporte will no longer allow their services to be used by US residents at online gambling sites so this will not be a good option for American bingo players.
