Beware of the Big Bonus Craze

The huge number of Bingo sites on the Net has unleashed a frenzy of big bonus offers.  On the surface this looks like it is all in favor of the player.  This may be true and it may be a very well disguised trap.  The trap is simple to see once a player understands the play through rules that all sites have in their cashier section or in their rules and agreements that a player must sign in order to open an account.

Some sites have eliminated all play through rules and as a consequence usually offer smaller bonuses on deposits. Some of the huge bonus sites have play through rules of 10 times the bonus in order to cash any of it out.   In the case of a $500 bonus, this would mean that the player would have to play $5000 worth of cards.  Casino games do not count at all or at a reduced rate per dollar wagered.   In some cases the bonus cannot be played in casino games at any time.  It is these restrictions that make it imperative that the player read the rules before going after any of these bonuses that the bingo sites are now offering.

There are some other restrictive rules that are unfair to the player.  If the player has not played a certain amount in the last few days or not made any type of deposit, this could prevent any money being sent out of the account.   Some sites only process withdrawals once a week and many have a dollar limit on what can be taken out in a single week.  All of these rules are designed to do only one thing.  This hold up of releasing funds is designed to keep the money in the account and let the site have a further shot at winning the money.

There are many bingo sites that have very fair rules and these should be sought out and then the player should stay and play.  It is hard enough to buck the odds of winning one of the major prizes or money promotions.  But having rules that keep the money out of your hands to do something with other than gamble is not fair to the player.  Live casinos do not have any such rules and they are only seen in online casinos, poker rooms and bingo sites.  Players should only play where the rules are fair for both the house and the player.
